You're not following a script. You're building a relationship. Here's the rhythm of what that year looks like.

Your one commitment: get in front of your scholar once a month.

Everything else — texts, calls, events — is about building a genuine connection at a pace that works for both of you.

The lightest time of year. Keep up your monthly in-person meeting and stay connected with your scholar through check-ins. A text after their summer class. A call to see how work is going.

Coach Orientation

If you're new, this is where it starts. You'll get everything you need to hit the ground running and feel confident heading into Match Day.

All coaches

Match Day

One of the biggest celebrations of the year. New scholars and coaches are paired for the first time — and returning coaches come back to be part of the energy. This is where the Level Up family grows.

Goal-Setting

Right after Match Day, you and your scholar set goals together — what they want to accomplish this semester and for the full year. Staff provides the framework. You help make it personal.

"What do you want this semester to look like? Where do you want to be by May?"

Professional Development Day

A full-day workshop: interview skills, LinkedIn profiles, elevator pitches, and career readiness. You're there alongside your scholar, reinforcing what they learn and helping them put it into practice.

"What stood out to you today? Let's build on that."

Evening

Annual Finance Dinner

An evening built around real financial conversations with professionals. Your scholar will leave with new confidence around money — and you can keep that conversation going in your next meeting.

"What's one thing about money that feels clearer now?"

A brief survey to help Level Up understand how the relationship is going. Our team does a deeper check-in with you after the semester wraps to make sure you have what you need.

Professional Presence Prep

Before Networking Month, help your scholar get their professional presence ready. Review their LinkedIn, sharpen their resume, and practice introductions together.

Networking Month

This is where your role really shines. You'll receive weekly updates on what your scholar is learning about networking. The main ask: attend the Level Up Your Network event together and help your scholar work the room.

"Who do you want to connect with? Let's make a plan before we walk in."

End of Year Celebration

We close out the year by celebrating everything your scholar accomplished. Look back at the goals you set together after Match Day and see how far they've come.

Graduation Dinner

If your scholar is a graduating senior, we honor them with a dedicated celebration of their journey through Level Up.

The core expectation

Coffee, lunch, campus visit, or attending a Level Up event together. Get in front of your scholar at least once a month.

Regular Check-Ins

At your natural pace

Texts, calls, messages. No rigid schedule. The goal is that your scholar knows you're in their corner.
